Session Organizers:
Victor Edneral(Moscow State University, Russia)
Aleksandr Myläri(Åbo Akademi University, Turku/Åbo,Finland)
Nikolay Vassiliev(Steklov
Institute of Mathematics at St.Petersburg, Russia )
Overview:
Celestial Mechanics and
Dynamical Systems are traditional fields for applications of computer algebra.
This session is intended to discuss Computer Algebra methods and modern
algorithms in the study of general continuous and discrete Dynamical Systems,
Ordinary Differential Equations and Celestial Mechanics.
The following topics, among
others, will be considered:
1. Stability and bifurcation analysis
of dynamical systems
2. Construction and analysis of the structure
of integral manifolds
3. Symplectic methods.
4. Symbolic dynamics.
5. Perturbation theories.
6. Normal forms and programs for their
computations.
7. Integrability and nonintegrability
of ODEs.
8. Exact solutions and integrals.
9. Families of periodic solutions.
10. Computation of asymptotes of
solutions and its program implementation.
11. Deterministic chaos in dynamical
systems.
12. Computation of formal integrals.
13. Computer algebra for celestial
mechanics and stellar dynamics.
14. Specialized computer algebra
software for celestial mechanics.
15. Topological structure of phase
portraits and computer visualization.
16. Discrete Dynamical Systems
Call for Papers & Special Sessions
Submission of full papers,
talks or abstracts of talks at the conference: May 15,
2011. When you submit a paper or talk through
https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=aca2011, it is VERY
important that you have the name of the session before the title of the paper
(e.g., “Computer Algebra for Dynamical Systems and Celestial Mechanics:
Using Maple to visualize phase portraits"). Abstracts can be sent to
session organizers directly.
Notification of acceptance the report for the
conference: May 23, 2011. We will try to make the decision during one week after receiving of the
material.
Submission of full papers for the post-conference collection
book/journal: August 1, 2011. We hope to collect selected papers at the Special Issues of the Journal
of Symbolic Computation for ACA-2011 as the whole. The notification date is
December 20, 2011.
