==== Some details on the package: ====

CPYTH is an interface program between CompHEP event generator
(versions: 41.10, V_41.10; 4.2p1 and 4.4p3 and the old CompHEP format)
and the showering and hadronization program PYTHIA version 6.2 or later.

The tool kit was designed in SINP MSU (Moscow, Russia) and a short
manual was published in hep-ph/0101232. The interface is based on
the Les Houche Agreement (hep-ph/0109068). Please, cite the paper
if you are using the code.

Please, send your bug report to Alexander Sherstnev:
(alexandre.cherstnev@cern.ch).

The installation procedure is described in all details in cpyth-1.2.7/INSTALL.

Files in the user directory (it will be created during installation):

  * **mixPEV** - a script to mix of original CompHEP event files to an event file in the PEVLIB 1.0 format. The program output is Mixed.PEV (the event file ready to read by the CompHEP-PYTHIA interface) and Prt.PEV (a file with some mixing details).

NOTE: You have to mix CompHEP files in order to work with the
CompHEP-PYTHIA interface, even if you have just one
        CompHEP output file.

  * **main.f** - a source file of the main program of the interface. You can add your own analysis code inside of the file.

  * **Makefile** - a source file for the make/gmake program to prepare the program generator.exe.

  * **INPARM.DAT** - a file with some parameters for the interface.

Execute the program make to prepare generator.exe. The program takes
events from an event file and passes them through the CompHEP-PYTHIA
interface and PYTHIA itself. The input event file name (default: Mixed.PEV)
and a number of events for processing (default: 10) are defined in the
INPARM.DAT file.
